Amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Public Procurement".

Development of new procurement mechanisms:

— To simplify small-value purchases - goods, services and low-value works, a mechanism for comparing proposals from at least three suppliers is used.

— Two-stage public procurement is intended for technically complex or specialized objects, in which participants submit technical proposals at the first stage, and financial proposals at the second.

Centralization of procurement:

Single procurement centers are created at the level of government organizations.

Taking into account the principle of sustainability:

When making purchases, environmental, social and economic factors are now taken into account. This approach helps make the procurement system not only effective, but also safe for society and the environment.

Strengthen oversight and transparency:

— Implementation of digital platforms to control all stages of procurement.

— Public use of tender information to ensure public control.

— Simplifying access for small and medium businesses.

These changes create a new basis for public procurement in Uzbekistan, making it more transparent, convenient and stable. The updates are aimed at efficient resource management and the development of a competitive environment.
