A literary and educational event dedicated to the life and works of Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was held at the Metallurgists’ Palace of Culture.
Participants of the event shared insights into the life journey of the great poet, thinker, and statesman Mir Alisher Navoiy, as well as the talented representative of the Timurid dynasty, the distinguished poet and commander Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
During the event, the advisor to the Bekobod district governor, Saida Suvonova, highlighted the invaluable scholarly and literary legacy of Alisher Navoiy, known as the "Sultan of Words," and the significant contributions of the great poet, encyclopedic scholar, statesman, and military leader Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. She emphasized their crucial roles in shaping national culture, the literary and aesthetic consciousness of the people, and their influence on world literature, science, and statehood.
Elyor Shodimatov, a master at the consumer goods production unit, along with students from Secondary School No. 2, E’zoza Sirojiddinova and Yulduz Tolibova, recited excerpts from the ghazals and rubai of these two great figures.
A particularly inspiring moment of the event was the live performance of the song “Oh, Kim” by Jasmina Turmuhammedova and Abbos Aliqulov, students of the Bekobod Specialized School of Arts.
It is worth noting that studying the works of these two great figures of Uzbek classical literature—Alisher Navoiy and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur—provides a deep understanding of what it means to be a true and noble person.
The event, organized in honor of the birthdays of these outstanding personalities, who made an immense contribution to the spiritual enrichment of the nation, served as a valuable source of cultural and intellectual nourishment for all attendees.
