Information on the implementation of the investment project "Construction of the Casting and Rolling Complex" (as of November 26, 2024)

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 30, 2021, No. PQ-72 "On approving the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022–2026 and introducing new approaches and mechanisms for managing investment projects", the investment project "Construction of the Casting and Rolling Complex" (hereinafter – the Project) is being implemented by the Joint Stock Company "Uzmetkombinat".

Works being carried out under the project:

Within the framework of this project, contracts were signed for the supply of technological equipment with the "Danieli" company group (Italy) for a total of 359.3 million euros, and for construction works with the "Ronesans Avrasya" company (Turkey) for 170.0 million euros.

Works carried out by the "Ronesans Avrasya" company: To date, the total volume of work completed is 91.5%. A total of 1,513 workers, including 281 engineers and technicians, and 98 units of machinery have been involved in construction and installation works. The following works are being carried out at the construction site by "Ronesans Avrasya":

Installation of foundations for technological equipment;
Assembly of steel structures;
Reinforced concrete works in the primary corrosion protection basin;
Development of working documentation.

Works carried out by the "Danieli" company group (Italy): The Joint Stock Company "Uzmetkombinat" has made payments totaling 318.89 million euros. Of this amount, equipment worth 298.8 million euros, or 94.9%, has been delivered to the plant. 100% of the engineering for the main technological equipment worth 20.6 million euros has been completed. 100% of the engineering for auxiliary equipment and spare parts totaling 2.58 million euros has also been completed. The assembly team from "Danieli" is continuing the phased mobilization process at the construction site, and most of the required equipment has been delivered to the site. To date, installation and consulting work worth 46.3 million euros, or 76.5% (of a total of 60.5 million euros), has been completed.
Works carried out by the Joint Stock Company "Uzmetkombinat": The construction and installation division has completed the following works:

Relevant decisions were made for the allocation of a land plot of 18.5 hectares for the construction of the facility;
More than 893 m3 of reinforced concrete structures were installed;
8 existing auxiliary workshops, buildings, and structures on the construction site were fully dismantled;
To improve internal logistics and ensure the uninterrupted flow of trucks, a new bridge was built over the "Dalvarzin" canal, as well as a new control checkpoint No. 6;
Engineering-geological works at the construction sites have been fully completed;
The full dismantling of the No. 3 scrap preparation trestle has been completed, including all columns, plates, crane columns, and galleries (walkways);
General construction work on the administrative building has been completed 100%;
General construction work on the residential building is 70% complete, and at this stage, the building has been raised to the roof, with finishing works scheduled for the final stages of the project;
Construction of the kitchen has been fully completed, and it has been temporarily handed over to the contractor for use;
A 814-meter-long railway line has been fully constructed and put into operation;
Construction and installation works for the centralized warehouse have been fully completed, with bridge cranes delivered, and external communications works are ongoing. This warehouse is currently being used to store equipment supplied by the "Danieli" company group;
A new 1.2 km long access road from the city of Bekabad to the plant has been fully constructed and put into operation.

As a result of the tender, China's AVIC company was declared the winner with a bid of 12.7 million euros, and a contract for this amount was signed. Of this, 2.5 million euros was paid as an advance, and 8.8 million euros was transferred for the supplied equipment. Equipment worth 12.4 million euros, or 97.8% of the total amount (12.7 million euros), has been delivered and passed through customs clearance. The basic project has been completed 100%, and the equipment supply is ongoing.
