HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY – THE MAIN DIRECTION OF THE COMPANY’S DEVELOPMENT

10.10.2025 05.06.2026 17021

Dear metallurgists!

Today, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, consistent reforms are being implemented in New Uzbekistan to ensure openness, transparency, and legality in all spheres of state and public life, combat corruption, and prevent conflicts of interest. A solid legal framework has been created in this direction, and specific tasks have been set for state bodies and large economic entities.

As a logical continuation of these reforms, improving corporate governance in strategic sectors of the economy based on international standards, increasing transparency in decision-making processes, and reducing corruption risks have become priority areas of state policy.

JSC “Uzmetkombinat” as a large enterprise that plays an important role in the country’s industry, approaches the implementation of these tasks with responsibility. The principles of legality, justice, and honesty in the enterprise’s operations have been established as the fundamental foundation of management culture.

On this basis, systematic work is being carried out in the plant system to strengthen compliance control, increase the efficiency of internal audit, and ensure transparency in public procurement and tender processes.

These reforms are being carried out in harmony with digitalization processes. Through the implementation of digital solutions, the human factor in decision-making has been reduced, control over financial and organizational processes has been strengthened, and the transparency of management processes has been significantly increased.

Such an approach requires further strengthening the responsibility of every leader and employee. Because the fight against corruption is not only the task of individual structures, but also the main criterion in the daily work of all employees. As the head of our state noted, “The fight against corruption and its prevention is the sacred duty of every conscientious person”.

It is especially important for management personnel to set a personal example and adhere to the principles of objectivity and justice in decision-making. A firm and uncompromising approach must be formulated regarding any instances of abuse of power, nepotism, or conflicts of interest.

These requirements must be established as a unified principle of work across all units of the plant. Integrity, patriotism, and professional responsibility should be an integral part of every employee’s activities.

All messages received through communication channels and the appeals processing system established at the plant are reviewed promptly and objectively. All appeals will be reviewed in accordance with the established procedure, the personal data of applicants will be fully protected, and any pressure or harassment against them will not be allowed.

In the plant’s activities, based on the principles of openness and honesty, a system of communication with the public, partners, and citizens is being consistently developed. The plant’s management considers public oversight an important factor in the fight against corruption and supports all initiatives that have shown activity in this direction.

Dear colleagues!

One of our most important tasks is to further strengthen an open and fair working environment free from corruption. In an environment where transparency and legality prevail, progress is sustainable, trust is strengthened, and efficiency increases. Reforms in this direction will be consistently continued at the plant.

I urge all managers and employees to work with high responsibility, integrity, and dedication.

Bakhodir ABDULLAEV,

Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzmetkombinat” - General Director.
